Study Says: Why Instant Noodles Are DANGEROUS To Your Heart

Are you that kind of person who loves the feel of noodles sliding through your lips? Or wait, does the taste of scrumptious ramen noodles make you drool? Mm… maybe you have started to live on noodles because they are wallet-friendly or you think they have ‘healthy’ inscribed all over them?

If you happen to be that kind of a person, then what you are going to read now is going to freak you out.

Ramen Noodles are DANGEROUS to your health.

Before your eyes burst into precipitation that can cure droughts in Africa, let me come to the point. Yes. Ramen noodles are unhealthy. And you have to accept it.

This is not some random nincompoop saying something with an objective to get unwanted attention. I have proof.

And here it is!

A Study Says…

That ramen and other instant noodle products cramming the supermarket have chances of increasing a person’s risk of ‘cardio-metabolic’ syndrome. This syndrome paves way to severe cardiovascular disease and stroke, especially in women.

In this study which was published in the Journal of Nutrition, the data of 10,711 adults aged between 19 and 64 was analysed. The findings undisputedly stated that eating instant noodles more than twice a week resulted in cardio-metabolic syndrome.

Instant Noodles Are Unhealthy Because Of…

  • The Fat Content

The fat content in instant noodles is pretty higher than you think. This is because the noodles are deeply fried during the manufacturing process. A single packet of ramen contains about 6.5 grams of saturated fat.

And you know what saturated fat does to your body. It raises cholesterol levels and contributes to heart disease. So on the outside you are munching ramen noodles and are having a ‘good’ time, but on the inside your body is getting ready to shut down.

  • High Amount Of Salt

Coming back to statistics, a pack of instant noodles contains about 1,730 grams of sodium. If you are a healthy adult, then that number is more than half of the recommended intake. And if you are already in the high-risk category, then 1,730 grams is more than double the recommended intake of sodium.

You might think instant noodles are as good as everyday snacks, but you don’t want to be bound to your bed by threads of high-blood pressure and hypertension, do you?

  • Nutrients?

Zero.
Need I say more?

  • The Packaging They Come In

Ever examined the packaging your favourite ramen noodles come in? Oh yeah, who cares about packaging and all? Just rip the pack, break the noodle block, mix in hot water and enjoy!

Isn’t it?

The packagings these noodles come in contain Styrofoam, which disrupts hormones in the body. Maybe this is one reason why women would be more affected due to the excessive consumption of ramen noodles.

  • Tertiary-butyl-hydroquinone

Tertiary-but..err..what?

Keep the name aside, friend. The compound is a by-product of the petroleum industry. It also is a food additive which is generally used to preserve cheaply processed foods.

Now, I only have the habit of feeding petrol to my vehicle.

Even after reading all this, if ramen noodles are still going to be on your plate tomorrow morning, then I can give one last try to inject some sanity in your mind.

A study conducted by Dr. Braden Kuo, which involved filming the entrails of a person who had just consumed ramen noodles managed to put some wisdom in many minds.

And this image shows the step by step process of what happens when you consume instant ramen noodles.

When you consume instant noodles like ramen, your stomach works overtime and takes hours struggling to grind and then digest the noodles. As if this is not enough, all the unwanted elements in the noodles lead to heart and kidney complications in the future.

Seriously, is this the kind of life you want to live? Think again.
